Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. MJ Squared is a space for parents, caregivers and the professionals who support them; it is not designed for children to use directly.

If you create or manage a team or community account on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

• Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it current.
• Keep your password private and turn on two-factor authentication if you can. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Tell us promptly at info@mjsquared.elloco.dev if you think someone else has accessed your account.
• One person per personal account. Do not share or sell accounts.

MJ Squared works because members trust each other with personal and often sensitive experiences. When you post, comment, message or list something, you agree to:

• Treat other members with kindness and respect.
• Protect children’s privacy. Do not share another family’s photos, names, diagnoses or other identifying details without their permission, and think carefully before sharing your own child’s.
• Not harass, bully, threaten, discriminate against or impersonate anyone.
• Not post content that is illegal, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or that sexualizes or endangers minors in any way.
• Not spam, run unsolicited advertising, or collect other members’ information for marketing.
• Respect what is shared in spaces and channels and not repost it outside MJ Squared without permission.

Space owners and community administrators may set additional rules for the spaces they run.

You keep ownership of what you post, including posts, comments, messages, photos, event and directory submissions (“your content”). You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce and adapt your content only as needed to operate and improve the Service, for example to show your post to the members of a space or to make it searchable. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other members have already received (such as direct messages) and backups kept for a limited time.

You confirm that you have the rights to what you post and that it does not break these Terms or anyone else’s rights.

We do not review everything before it is posted, but we and community administrators may remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts that break these Terms or put members at risk. Event and directory submissions are reviewed before they are published and may be declined.

If you see something that worries you, contact us at info@mjsquared.elloco.dev. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Information on MJ Squared, including posts by members, learning content, and directory listings for specialists and services, is for general support and information only. It is not medical, therapeutic, legal or financial advice. Always consult a qualified professional about your family’s situation. We do not verify credentials or endorse the providers listed in the directory; check them yourself before engaging anyone.

Events and meetups listed on MJ Squared are organized by members or third parties, not by us, unless we say otherwise. Use your judgment when meeting people in person, meet in public places, and supervise children. Sharing your location on the members map is optional and shows only an approximate point near your city; you can turn it off at any time in your settings.

• Some features require a paid subscription. Prices and what each plan includes are shown on our pricing page before you buy.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Unless the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable.
• If we change a price, we will tell you in advance, and the new price will apply from your next billing period.

Some search features use an AI service to turn a plain-language request (for example, “free events for toddlers this weekend”) into search filters. Results may be imperfect; check event and listing details before relying on them. Please do not type sensitive personal information into search.

You agree not to:

• Access the Service by automated means (scraping, bots) except through APIs we provide, and within their limits.
• Try to get around security, access accounts or data that are not yours, or disrupt the Service.
• Upload malware or anything designed to harm devices or data.
• Use the Service for anything unlawful.

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you do, your profile is removed and you can no longer sign in. Posts, comments and messages you shared with others stay visible to them but are no longer linked to you; they are shown as from a deleted member. See our Privacy Policy for details.

We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or where we are required to by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.

We work hard to keep MJ Squared available and safe, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not responsible for content posted by members or for the conduct of anyone you meet through the Service.

To the extent the law allows, MJ Squared, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100. Some places do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

If you break these Terms or the law in using the Service, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, to the extent the law allows.

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. If a change is significant, we will let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use MJ Squared after that means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which MJ Squared, LLC is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under consumer-protection laws where you live.
